Liaison with Military Units
Historically the Lord-Lieutenant has always had strong links with the military units within Greater London. In particular, the Representative Deputy Lieutenants support and promote all the Reserve Forces including the Royal Naval Reserve, the Royal Marine Reserve, the Territorial Army and the Royal Auxiliary Air Force. They also liaise closely with the Cadet Units linked to each of the Services.
In 2010 the Lieutenancy will be supporting Cadet 150, a nationwide celebration of the 150th Anniversary of the formation of the Cadet Corps. More information can be found at http://www.mod.uk/DefenceInternet/Showcase/Cadet150.htm
